Boundary Bay Airshow 2010 – Saturday, June 19th

May 31, 2010, Boundary Bay Airport, Delta, BC…. Alpha Aviation Inc. and the Corporation of Delta are pleased to be hosting the 6th Annual Air Show at the Boundary Bay Airport on Saturday, June 19th, 2010. Past Airshows have been very successful with last year’s attendance surpassing the 7,500 mark.

With its rich history in aviation, the Boundary Bay Airport first opened during the Second World War as a training centre for Air Force Pilots. Today, it still remains a thriving centre for general aviation, domestic and international flight training and proudly stands as Canada’s fifth busiest airport for aircraft movement. At this year’s show we will feature the addition of our newly opened 15,000 square foot Boundary Bay Airport Terminal Building ready to welcome international corporate and regional jet traffic.

This year’s theme, “Canada Remembers…” is a very special opportunity for you to show your support in recognition of the important role that our Canadian Forces perform. This year’s show is dedicated to our past and present Forces who bravely serve and have served our country and the enormous sacrifice they make every day. Everyone attending this year’s Airshow is asked to participate in the largest letter writing campaign to our Troops by “Sending a message to our Forces from home”…

Airshow Gates open at 12:00 with flying starting at 13:00 until approx 16:30.
